Mulberry Fall 2011 Runway Review

Quintessentially English brand Mulberry is excellent at keeping to their roots. The English countryside has always served as a key source of inspiration and this season, the country, paired with the beloved Roald Dahl story  Fantastic Mr. Fox, served as inspiration for designer Emma Hill in her warm autumnal collection. In front of the starry night wall decor sat an even more stellar front row with faces such as Rebecca Hall, Kirsten Dunst, and Clemence Poesy coming out to support the brand alongside editors from every major publication in the UK and abroad.

The ballroom at the legendary Claridge’s hotel was transformed into an enchanted forest with the sound of birds and, in spite of the presentation being first thing in the morning, mushroom shaped cupcakes. As for the collection, winter prints, including a few striking pleated looks printed with peace signs, were shown alongside quilted macs, wearable knitwear, and the brand’s signature accessories.

Soft accessories, such as a cozy oversized scarf, and a covetable selection of shoes added to the brand’s already famous collection of accessories that includes handbags such as the Alexa, which made appearances both on the catwalk and in the arms of front row attendees.
