Though he already staged a runway show during New York Fashion Week, Mike Vensel, a former contestant on Bravo’s The Fashion Show, presented his collection once again during L.A. Fashion Week. However in the journey from East to West, Vensel somehow lost all but two garments from his collection. There were a number of Fall 2011 shows that fell victim to improper editing and ended up showing too many looks on the runway – Vensel takes us to the opposite extreme.
Gimmick? Perhaps, but to the designer’s defense the two looks he did show were sleek, wearable, and high-impact despite their lack of frills thanks in large part to their roomy silhouettes, fire engine red hues, and drapey jersey material.
