L.A.M.B. Spring 2012 Runway Review

Word came early on that Gwen Stefani would not be at her L.A.M.B show this season due to scheduling conflicts with the recording of her forthcoming No Doubt album. Unfortunately, she didn’t make a surprise appearance at her Spring 2012 presentation, but the collection nonetheless stayed true to Stefani’s signature Harajuku-meets-rasta aesthetic with plenty of prints, bright colors, jumpers, maxi dresses, rocker-worthy bomber jackets, and stacked bracelets.

Models – top knot hair, thick pointed winged eyes and all – were near evenly split between those wearing two tonal colored prints and black-and-white ones, most of which were done in tribal, often ikat-like iterations.

As for accessories, it was all about oversized handbag, platform sandals, and stacked bangles to complement the mix of tailored and loosely draped looks.
