Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff aren't exactly known for designing wearable clothes, but this season's somewhat somber lineup of Edwardian-influenced pieces was less costumey than seasons past. Sure, few and far between are those that can or would want to wear paneled dresses recalling maid outfits, sailor skirt suits, PVC jackets and coats, ruffle hemmed separates and a shirt-inspired wedding dress, but the more subdued direction that the designers took this season showed a welcome evolution to their work.
