News & Runway

Between the black lipstick, knee-high strappy shoes, blue hair, wrapped fabrics, mix-and-matching of colors and prints, the majority of Vivienne Westwood’s Spring 2009 collection looked like a punk wrapped in vibrantly colored bed linens (albeit bed linens wrapped and knotted in an unbelievably sexy and purposeful way).

The collection was, of course, pure Vivienne Westwood and the avant-garde designer stands alone in her ability to pull-off a collection so wonderfully at once eclectic and eccentrically innovative where the highlight is an impeccably crafted bustier bodice dress with rushed colored fabric delicately shooting-out and layered multi-colored striped fabric from the waist down.
