Spagnolo’s collection provides immense layers of black covering every item from drawstring jeans to a leather waistcoat.

Not to get lost in a sea of black, Spagnolo utilizes materials of different textures ranging from Italian wool and leather to Turkish cotton and Japanese denim.

Viewing the lookbook, it is evident that Spagnolo paid great attention to the overall shape of his collection. The looks are elongated like skyscrapers. This look is achieved by the long coats and pieces like the oversized tee.

Summing up his Fall 2009 collection, Spagnolo adds that the “collection is intended to provide [his] customer with unique garments that have an exclusive appeal and attitude–a rarity in the current New York menswear scene.”
