News & Runway

The Fall/Winter 2009 Nanette Lepore collection was feminine, quirky, and romantic – signatures we’ve come to expect from the designer – but unlike certain looks in past seasons, there was a simplicity and practicality to many of the pieces that lent them wearability.

The most memorable parts of the collection were her wonderful chunky knit hats and bold accessories that topped-off many of the well-edited, pulled-together looks which included deep-hued prints, cozy wool sweaters, shorts and mini skirts worn over tights, and of course, paisley – Lepore, in fact, remains one of the few designers that can take prairie-esque motifs and make them chic.
