In their Fall/Winter ’09 collection, Bespoken drew inspiration from the post-war movement in the 40’s & 50’s.
Clothing from the period reflected the emerging social liberation that would define the cultural landscape in the second half of the twentieth century. Britain abandoned glitz & glamor, and turned toward so-called “utilitarian” fashion, characterized by subtle detailing and functional design.
Bespoken’s Fall/Winter ’09 collection illustrates this period with classic and minimalist pieces.
