Zimmermann Spring 2014: An Impressive New York Debut of Ready-to-Wear and Swimwear

Leave it to Australian favorite Nicky Zimmermann to bring swimwear more impressive than anything seen in Miami during Swim Week to New York Fashion Week. This season's Zimmermann marked its NYFW debut with a ruffle-heavy collection of ready-to-wear and swim looks that mixed feminine with darker, edgier pieces.

Inspired by the circus (clowns aren't always happy-go-lucky, after-all), the influence was seen on ruffled collars, swimwear with curved and sculpted bra cups, bondage-style gypsy dresses and fluttering chiffon. The lineup included floral, geometric and painterly prints and a number of the looks came belted with a bow.
