Just Cavalli Spring 2014: Unfortunate Styling Taints the Collection

It's not easy to make clashing prints look good — and when they don't look particularly good on models, that's a problem. So was the case in this season's Just Cavalli lineup. Though there was much to love in some of the individual pieces — a floral sleeveless button down, perforated blazers, a capped sleeve floral mini, a long pastel vest and a number of skin-grazing trousers — the styling made much of the collection look sloppy.

Cropped, studded, tight, colorful and printed (everything from tartan to animal) are a lot to take in all at the same time and the collection would have been better off breaking up the busy pieces with more clean-lined monochromatic separates.
