THE MISSES:

Vanessa Bruno

“Isn't this remarkably junior for her main line? I could see this for Athé, but wow, this feels young, almost schoolgirlish. I am not saying there are no nice looks but it could be a very limited market for which to design.” [Not Plain Jane]

“OMG this is unexpected, I don't see Vanessa Bruno's element at all. BYE!!” [elle_gb]

“This is terribly juvenile even for Bruno. I still can't for the life of me understand how she went from the French version of Véronique Branquinho to banal and cheap like she has. Did somebody buy her label and force her to change her strategy?” [Scott]

Haider Ackermann

“I don't know really why but Haider bores me so much. Just a metallic mesh mess on a bad hair day.” [FashionFanatico]

“As much as I love him and his designs… this look has been done by him before, but also this doesn't in any way look or feel like a spring collection to me. I still like the collection, but I just wanted a bit more from him.” [lelaid]

“This season didn't really bring anything new to the table, and if anything, wasn't as sharp as previous collections.” [rosalynn]

Céline

“I think it's a pure nightmare. I don’t want to believe it. It's atrocious.” [GivenchyAddict]

“Oops… we've dug up parts of the 80s we should have kept buried.” [Melisande]

“I think it's rather confusing to look at – I don't see how the same customer that would have bought into her recent Fall/Winter collection would want to buy from this new one, it's so light years apart in aesthetic convictions to me. I don't know, besides the obvious commercial success of the label, I am not all too convinced of Phoebe Philo's allover creative direction of the line. She's jumping from minimalistic, clean lines one season to bad taste Prada-esque eclecticism in another. This one obviously leans towards the latter and I don't like it.” [tricotineacetat]
