Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani had menswear and comfort in mind for Pre-Fall 2014. There were plenty of pantsuits, fitted blazers and wide trousers. It wasn't all straightforward classics, however, as most of the trousers were cut above the ankle, and there was a leopard print pony skin top in the mix.

Burberry Prorsum
Whether a long, lean trench or a cozy, chunky cropped jacket, outerwear was the standout in this season’s Burberry Prorsum collection. Also worth noting were a series of fitted paisley dresses, which draped beautifully on the models’ bodies and proved a welcome counterpart to the mostly loose cuts we’ve been seeing thus far this season.

Few can take a theme and run with it the way Karl Lagerfeld can and so, for Pre-Fall 2014, he showed over 90 looks, each very overtly inspired by Texas (fittingly, the show was staged in Dallas). Along the way, there were cowboy and Indian references, making for a glitzy show complete with plenty of feathers, sequins, star prints, fringe and beading.

3.1 Phillip Lim
Phillip Lim was inspired by Berlin’s rave culture for his collection this season, which explains the metallic shades and trippy print. Silhouettes were kept loose throughout and the designer introduced new versions of his popular fur-accented clutches.
