Mara Hoffman, Chiara Ferragni and More Designers Reinvent Santa’s Go-To Accessory

Each year, designers help us refresh our wardrobe with new takes on classic staples. Deconstructed shirts replace our tired white button downs, swooping denim our body-conscious skinnies, kaleidoscopic sneakers our blah white tennis shoes. Imaginary or not, why shouldn’t Santa have the same wealth of options? (If any kids are currently reading over your shoulder, sorry.)

In the spirit of the holidays, Women’s Wear Daily asked some of our favorite designers to reinvent Saint Nick’s go-to droopy, pompom-accented hat. (Although, given that his cap appears to be made of either velvet or fur and is topped off with a fuzzy bauble, it’s fairly on-trend.) If you ask us, Mara Hoffman, Gigi Burris, Nicole Miller, Chiara Ferragni and Audra totally mastered the millinery challenge. Scroll down for a healthy dose of holiday cheer and fashion inspo, then head over to WWD to take in the full, festive assortment.

We’re in love with Rihanna favorite Gigi Burris’s fur-bisected design.
