Feast Your Eyes on Rihanna’s New Chopard Collab

It’s a well-known fact that Rihanna loves Chopard. The singer-turned-designer regularly accessorizes her red carpet looks with the Swiss jeweler’s brilliant, blinding bling. (See: her latest Grammys appearance.) Given that every design project Rihanna touches turns to gold, it was only a matter of time before the singer’s choice jewelry brand courted her for a collab.

The resulting collection, fittingly dubbed “Rihanna Loves Chopard,” is set to launch at the Cannes Film Festival this May. (Rih will be there to promote her new film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which also stars Cara Delevingne.)

The limited-edition range, co-designed by Rihanna and Chopard’s Caroline Scheufele, comes in two parts. The first is a “high jewelry” collection made from precious gemstones and diamonds, consisting of a 30.76 carat(!) watch, chandelier earrings similar to those Rih wore at the Grammys and two edgy ear clips.

The second collection features fine, geometric pieces — necklaces, rings, earrings and a bangle. Crafted from ethical 18-carat Fairmined-certified rose gold and accented with ceramic blocks in a shade of jungle green handpicked by Riri, these more “affordable” options start at $1,460 (for a fairly nondescript bar ring).

“Rihanna and I collaborated closely on the collections, so you can feel her unstoppable energy, strong creativity, and inherent sense of design in every piece,” said Scheufele in a statement. “With her unique style, she redefines the way people see and wear jewelry.”
