THUY F/W 2010

All I can say is that after seeing Thuy Diep selling her pieces live, I have a newfound respect for how hard it is to be on a show like QVC (making me particularly impressed by a good friend of mine, Flavia Masson, who happens to be the youngest person ever to sell on-air on QVC).

Her poor on-camera speaking skills aside (she is only in the early stages of her relationship with QVC), Thuy delivered a solid, if predictable Fall/Winter line this season. The collection was rich in deep jewel tones (purple, teal, aubergine, red), fur accents, chunky jewelry, and beading. But it was when the designer stuck to more basic looks that she really shone, as was the case with a slouchy white tee paired with ¾ black pants, booties, and a cropped camel jacket with oversized exposed pockets and black zip details.
