NICOLE FARHI LONDON F/W 2010

In the beautiful Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, guests made their way through the wind and rain early in the morning to see the fall runway for Nicole Farhi. This beautiful venue provided the perfect space for the classic, streamlined collection.

Inspired by the smooth lines of Frank Gehry’s architecture, easy separates and asymmetrically draped and gathered cocktail dresses were the standout pieces. Keeping with the classic Farhi shapes, the real story this season was in the textures. Silk chiffon was layered with tweeds and wool, and smooth knits were shown alongside soft crepe and beaded tulle. Other noteworthy pieces included a drawstring camel skirt and black cigarette pants in wool with PVC.
