After a full month of street style stalking, you probably think you’ve got a handle on which brands proved popular. After all, those neon Prada pieces were like everywhere. But according to global fashion search platform Lyst, the Italian label isn’t the most popular brand out there.
The company has compiled its quarterly The Lyst Index to rank the hottest brands and products everyone has been clamoring for. Based on the online shopping behavior of more than 5 million shoppers a month, the formula takes into account global Lyst and Google search data, along with conversion rates and sales, brand and product social media mentions and engagement statistics over the course of three months.
Basically, it shows which brands and products ruled Summer 2018. And you just might be surprised by who came out on top. In an interesting crossover, the Fashion Awards-nominated Off-White also managed to put out two of the most popular items: an industrial logo belt and its trademark striped sleeve jean jacket. While other top fashion brands also made the list, we were surprised to see a hippie staple land in the top five. Check out which labels and products made waves this summer in the slideshow above.
