PUBLICOLOR HOSTS ANNUAL BENEFIT

Publicolor is a dynamic, not-for-profit organization that uses the power of color, collaboration and completion to mobilize at-risk students to transform their struggling public schools and neglected neighborhood facilities into vibrant learning and community centers using brightly colored paint.

They hosted their annual Stir, Splatter + Roll benefit on Tuesday, April 14th. Guests enjoyed colorful cocktails as they painted alongside fashion heavyweights and a variety of creative influencers, including Mark di Suvero, Philip Glass, Peter Halley, Meredith Monk, Stanley Tucci and Lelli + Massimo Vignelli.

After painting, guests were seated for a dinner in honor of Mary Boone, the gallery owner credited with discovering several artists including Jean Michel Basquiat, Julian Schnabel, David Salle, and Barbara Kruger. Guests included Michael Kors, Mary Boone, Marc Ecko, Nicole Miller, Shoshanna Gruss, and Anne Waterman (head of PR for Michael Kors).

To date, Publicolor has transformed over 105 public schools and 115 community sites, including clinics, shelters, and police precincts.
