Top Trends from Toronto Fashion Week Spring 2014

Moist and Dewy Makeup:

Backstage preparing the beautiful faces of Sid Neigum’s models, Toronto Fashion Week’s head makeup artists and incredibly busy Maybelline ringleader Grace Lee offered advice on how to wear the most effortless of trends: the fresh face.

“What I love doing as a contour is using the darkest Maybelline FitMe stick foundation in the crease. I love that you can use this as both a foundation and a contour product,” says Grace as she sweeps a stick across a Miranda Kerr look-a-like’s cheek. “GreatLash mascara groomed through the brows and other than that we kept everything very minimal. We also did just one coat, on the top lashes, of the Smoky Eyes mascara and then the newest product that we have is the Nude Illusion Elixir in Nude, which we directly placed on lips. I didn’t want it too glossy, but I wanted it to look like they’ve been wearing their lips for quite a long time. So we’re taking the shine down by blotting, but I still love how they look really moist. I’ve been saying ‘moist’ a lot. But it’s a big word like moist, dewy, fresh. It screams spring/summer and it’s just fresh.”
