How to Work a Black T-Shirt with Inspiration from VFNO Sydney

Vogue Fashion’s Night Out went down in Sydney last night, with Australia’s fashion elite braving the rainy, cold weather to come out and play. With Bassike‘s Vogue T-Shirt design on high rotation, most of our country’s style stars incorporated the plain piece in amongst their carefully put-together outfits.

To get inspired on how you too can bring life to a plain black T-Shirt, scroll through our favourite getups below.

1. Mix prints and textures for extra style

Lindy Klim went for a tough-feminine vibe, tucking her VFNO T-Shirt into the Sass & Bide It’s a Jungle Out There Wide Panelled Skirt with a leather biker jacket. She kept her cool with I-woke-up-like-this hair and smoky eyes.

2. Dress it up with ladylike pieces

Kyly Clarke and Rachael Finch showed us just how easy it is to make a simple black T-Shirt look sophisticated. Just by teaming their VFNO tops with figure-hugging pencil skirts and heels, they’ve automatically taken the look from casual to business-appropriate.

3. Keep it casual

Model Mimi Elashiry didn’t feel the need to dress her VFNO T-Shirt up, instead choosing to keep it casual with her own personal boho style. She wore her black T-Shirt loose over leather shorts, and added an oversized denim jacket with colourful detailing, a wide-brim hat, cowboy boots and a crystal necklace.
