Spring 2015 Trend: The New Shade of Green

Get ready for your new favorite color come spring. It’s not white, or a pastel pink. Not even neon. It’s olive. Yes, olive. Though we traditionally see the muted green in fall collections, designers have been serving it up in florals, jackets and stripes. Peter Som told us that he sees this as a new take on kelly green. He also noted that “dressing is seasonless.” All of this means you don’t have to invest in multiple wardrobes this coming year. (Unless you have the bank account and closet for that sort of thing. In which case, carry on.)

From Peter’s graphic florals and navy-and-olive stripes to Marissa Webb’s jackets and layers, this shade is here to stay. Need more proof this is your new neutral? Costello Tagliapietra sent out a chic jumpsuit in, you guessed it, olive.
