6 Things We Loved at NYFW Fall 2015: Day 3

Gothic florals at Jay Godfrey

I love how Jay Godfrey adapted florals for winter. His print is gothic, but still somehow upbeat. I hope florals for winter is a trend that sticks! — Sharon Feiereisen, Contributor

Star Wars inspiration, take two

If you’d told me last season that I’d like a Star-Wars-themed collection and/or intense braided looks, I would’ve scoffed and made a snarky comment about overdone trends. But Mara Hoffman made me eat my words today. Instead of Darth Vader screenprints we got kaleidoscope patterns, fuzzy abstract alien landscapes reminiscent of those multicolored “sand art” jars we all made in the fourth grade, and a textured cream jumpsuit that I want, like, now. And I’m still trying to figure out exactly how these sculptural braids are even possible. — Meg Clark, Social Media Manager

Kickin’ it old school

It wouldn’t be Fashion Week without a little hip hop. De La Soul performed after FAST Fall 2015 and I basically got my life to all the old school jams. — Jihan Forbes, Staff Writer
