You’ll Want to Take a Time-Out for New Label Interval’s Debut

A brand new Australian womenswear label is just about to hit the fashion scene, uncompromising on design detail while seeking luxurious and effortlessly stylish clothing at an affordable price.

The brainchild of China-born, Melbourne-raised RMIT fashion design graduate Kara Liu, Interval is designed for 18 to 40 year old women and is debuting with its sleek Spring 2015 collection this month.

Kara’s first solo collection is just another step forward after landing a dream three-month internship with esteemed designer Alexander Wang in New York, followed by winning the Glue 1% Fashion Design Competition back in Sydney which saw her design a collaboration range sold in Glue and Topshop stores during 2013.

Interval’s first ever collection, above, exudes elegance with an offering of fluid silks in contrast with crisp linens in bright saffron and textural crepes in monochromatic tones, plus geometrical prints in glacier hues.

Retailing at an accessible $49 to $230, Interval will be available from November 16 from Myer, Topshop, Glue Store and select boutiques. Follow the label’s Instagram for all the updates, because this is one label you’ll want to watch.
