Trade In Your Leather for Suede This Season

For many, a fall wardrobe isn’t complete without some form of leather (or vegan leather). It normally involves a trusty motorcycle jacket, gloves and a chic pair of boots that will be worn everywhere. In recent times, everything from leather shorts to leather dresses to leather culottes have been the pieces to update a cool weather wardrobe. For Fall 2018, fashion has changed allegiances (slightly) and people are coveting leather’s close cousin suede in clothes as much as accessories.

Like leather, suede is a fixture on the autumn runways. The fabric is for fall what floral prints are for spring. Factoring that in, there was still a surplus of suede (and faux suede) clothing on the Fall 2018 runways. The trend is already continuing into Spring 2019 with brands like Longchamp, ALEXACHUNG, Tod’s, Michael Kors and Coach 1941 experimenting with the fabric via candy colors, fringe and reworked classics.

Before you deem the trend too much of an investment, know there’s suede clothing for all budgets. We’ve rounded up the best suede and faux suede styles starting at just $18.
