Thanks to spring’s arrival, we’re in a rush to ditch our heavy coats, hats, gloves and boots in favor of warmer-weather fare. But before you break out the shorts, crop tops and miniskirts, remember that it doesn’t go from 0 to 70 degrees in a flash. Unfortunately, low- to mid-50s are pretty commonplace this time of year and it may be a while before we get up to the 60s.
So what are we supposed to rock in the meantime? Well, lucky for us, long skirts are back in the spotlight. Their resurgence is partially due to the grunge renaissance and the fact that ankle-grazers popped up on several runways during the Fall 2019 season. Khaite’s two-tone denim contribution slots perfectly into our new grunge-heavy wardrobes. Ulla Johnson offered up several options, including a textured version as part of a matched set.
Even though the new must-have silhouette was featured on fall runways, the longer length is ideal while we await the transition to those 60-plus temps. Whether you prefer tie-dye, denim or animal print, here are the best almost-maxi skirts out there.
