Meadham Kirchhoff Fall 2012 Runway Review

With any Meadham Kirchoff show, you know to expect the unexpected. Whether the models are flanked with teenaged dancers or storming the catwalk for one major walk, you know to expect something completely staged and unforeseen from Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchoff. This season, to a crowd filled will eccentric and eclectic fans alongside the standard buyers and press, the pair showed a fanciful collection of separates that ranged from sequined trouser suits to big fur jackets. It was truly playful as models walked at an incredible pace, flicking their outerwear off mid-walk and jaunting down the catwalk.

Seventies references ran rampant with notions of disco in everything from the shoes to the music. This week has been lacking in the dramatic showman department but Meadham Kirchoff certainly made up for it today. This is the type of collection London dreams are made of. It was weird and eccentric but people will love it; a perfect ending to a wonderful week. Time will tell whether the pair can keep this type of collection up financially but it was certainly refreshing and entertaining to watch.
