DOUGLAS HANNANT F/W 2010

Dresses were short and long-sleeved, but Hannant added ample flirt with plenty above-the-knee action: black and white fringe, exposed thread, and peacock feathers fell delicately below hemlines.

The colors were bold; an electric-navy gown was met with applause, and camera clicks increased when a form-fitting red dress gave more gam than the other looks.  A certain ribbed fabric was threaded through the collection, and a brown boatneck dress and skirt suggested the shedding of 70‘s-era conservatism for 80’s-era experimentation.

The Park Avenue set always favors his furs, which Hannant produced this season in vibrant blues and grays.
