MARNI MILAN F/W 2010

I’m always attracted to the Marni section at Bergdorf Goodman.  In the same aesthetic vein as all of the Italian label’s boutiques, the clothes are displayed on hyper modern, minimalist fluid racks that are just begging to be checked out.  But try as I may – Marni jewelry withstanding – the quirky plays on shapes, colors, and prints that Consuelo Castiglioni is so loved for never seem to look right on my figure.

However, there’s no doubting Castiglioni’s knack for color. Whether she is showing black and white floral prints, clashingly-colored geometric ones, or color-blocked looks the designer’s pieces never fail to be eye-catching, well-balanced, and most importantly, cohesive – even when logic would dictate otherwise.
