February isn’t usually a month for game-changing covers, but nevertheless, there was a lot to love — and hate — this month. The running theme was fierceness with a number of cover stars striking major power poses — some succeeding more than others (let’s just say Anna Hathaway has a lot to learn from Serena Williams). Given that Valentine’s Day is soon upon us, there was also a bit of (welcome) kitsch thanks to J.Lo and bold red lips was the major beauty takeaway. And, while they still make up the minority, it was nice to see some curvier models and actress getting some time in the spotlight.
