HOW TO ROCK THE SWEATPANTS TREND

It seems that Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone, and even Bottega Veneta were on to something when they put models in luxe sweatpants (think: cashmere). The latest trend in sporty-chic appears to be, for better or for worse, stilettos paired with sweatpants. While the trend is sure to make plenty of people cringe, given the long-standing popularity of UGGs, it’s little surprise that it has taken off.

Luckily, you can make this trend work by pairing fitted, styled, and cuff-bottomed versions of the pants with a tailored top, some bold baubles a la Kenneth Jay Lane, and a killer pair of shoes. Check out some of these fashionable bottoms (which admittedly still sounds like a bit of an oxymoron – but at least they’re more comfy than uber-skinny jeans).
