Workout studios collaborating with athleisure and ready-to-wear brands is a major trend in the fitness space right now. Alala has worked with Barry’s Bootcamp and Y7, Tracy Anderson has teamed up with Lingua Franca, Sweaty Betty worked with Modelfit, and the list goes on and on — but now Lululemon and SoulCycle are making the biggest splash yet with a whopping 20-piece, co-created collection for men and women.
It’s a fitting collaboration, given that Lululemon birthed the current obsession with athleisure and SoulCycle is responsible for making traditional gyms near obsolete. The collection includes a range of technical on-the-bike items along with lifestyle pieces you could easily wear pre- or post-workout. There are also accessories with clever touches (think: a gym bag with a shoe compartment or a baseball cap that doesn’t smell or get sticky when you sweat). The collection has been a year in the making, and Lululemon’s design team worked with SoulCycle master instructors on all the pieces.
Since most of the items were created with intense cycling in mind, they can easily translate to any sweaty, cardio-heavy activity — including outdoor running (some pieces even have reflective touches).
The Lululemon x SoulCycle Collection is being stocked at select Lululemon stores, all SoulCycle studios across North America and on the websites of both brands through spring. Prices range from $18 to $228. Check out our slideshow above for the best of the collection.
