We commend anyone that can make it through an episode of Shark Tank and not be tempted to buy at least one of the items showcased. For those that aren’t familiar with the now wildly popular show, entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to five sharks asking for an investment to start, save or grow their business. At least one of the sharks has to invest all of the money the entrepreneur is asking for or they’ll walk away with nothing. But now that the show has millions of viewers, nothing is actually a whole lot of something since making an appearance is equivalent to between $4 and $5 million in marketing exposure.
The downside from a buyer’s perspective is that many brands that make it on the show are still in the growing phase and don’t necessarily have a handle on cost, meaning prices aren’t always as affordable as you may hope. Many of the products are also perishable, which ups the shipping costs and quantities (e.g., you have to order at least a dozen) if you don’t have access to a brick-and-mortar store (when there is a brick-and-mortar option).
With that said, here’s a look at 12 of the coolest Shark Tank products showcased on the show, all of which have exploded in popularity since their appearance.
